Paraphrasing/Quoting David:
We would like to have a pro-active commission. Can we find ways to kindle an element of participation and interest to communicate and share ideas about music bibliography beyond the limits of the annual conferences? How do we build a sustainable body of interested participants. How do we get beyond the problems of everyone having too much work and too little time? How can minor efforts from individuals in an audience of mutual interests lead to significant advances. In my mind that is part of the magic of the world of the internet (little contributions from many make huge resources). Can the commission make a difference? Yes, I think so. Why are the tools at our disposal not producing results of participation? Are there simple fixes? What kind of support or resources are needed? Is it just a matter of building critical mass of interest and participation.
